Page 1 of 2 - How can we develop creativeness at home?
First, listen carefully to the teacher during the briefing session and make good use of it. The teachers are those who know well the situations of children and how they play, so instead of looking for something to teach your children with, it will be helpful for you to refer to the briefing.
Second, read the Home connected activity folder and carry it out. The Home Activity folder is organized to use at home without any difficulties and its materials can be easily prepared at home.
Third, have conversation as much as possible with your child and respond to your child not with fixed ideas but with an open mind. Accept the child's ideas by saying, for example, "Okay, OO! That is what/how you think." That will open up the doors for your child to strengthen his/her creative thinking.
- Woukdn't a once a week class lack continuity?
The Brain School program is a quarterly program (12 lessons) that is organized systematically to enhance thinking ability and creativity in children. The program does not end with one session but rather it progresses into higher leveled related activities and also provides parents with a Home Activity sheets.
- How do you evaluate, score and manage the effects of the program and the progress of the children's thinking ability?
Each program has a checklist to maintain the children's' progress. We also use the checklist as consultation material with the client.
- Is it too late for 5 year-old-children to begin the creativity program?
It is the best to start the creative thinking program when the child is 24 months old but since 5-year-old children are still at the developing stage, they would benefit in taking the appropriate thinking program after consultation with the class teacher. Your child's creativity will surely be improved.
- Isn't it unfair for both the children already attending the Brain School from the beginning and the ones newly enrolled in the middle of the semester?
The first and second classes can be a bit unsettled as the children get used to the class. However, getting used to the changed environment is also a good part of social education. Also, since the program itself is organized systematically according to age, it shouldn't cause any delay in the development of the child's creative thinking ability.
